What This Covers
System implementation
Implementation leadership across ERP, accounting and payroll platforms — Kaufman Hall, Oracle, NetSuite, Essbase, Cognos, and ADP — covering requirements and configuration decisions.
Chart of accounts design
A structure built around how the organization reports and is measured today.
Data migration and validation
Balance validation before and after cutover, which is the step most often compressed and most often regretted.
Complex system reconciliation
Reconciling between systems that disagree, including recovery work after a migration has gone wrong.
Reporting rebuild
Management and board reporting re-established on the new system, so the parallel spreadsheets can finally be retired.
Process and control redesign
Close, approval, and control processes redesigned to suit the new system.
How These Projects Are Led
The finance lead on a system project is responsible for the questions the implementation partner cannot answer: what the chart of accounts should be, which historical data genuinely needs to come across, what reporting must exist on day one, and who signs off that the balances agree. Elevate holds that seat. Where a migration has already failed, the work starts with reconciliation, because nothing else can be fixed until the numbers agree.
Common Questions
Do you replace our implementation partner?
Which systems have you implemented?
Our migration already went wrong. Can you help?
How much of our history should move across?
When will reporting be back to normal?
The discrepancy at the ambulatory network was not a technical fault anyone could point to; it was the accumulation of balances that had never been validated at cutover. Tracing it took longer than the migration itself would have taken to do properly.
